UPDATE

Suspensions and fines have been handed out for last night's brawl at Yankee Stadium. Yankee C Jorge Posada and Jays P Jesse Carlson were both at the center of the bench-clearing incident and received the harshest penalties. They will both be suspended for three games. In total, four members of the Yankees and two Jays players have been penalized. Yankees OF Shelly Duncan was also suspended three games for his his role in a physical altercation with Blue Jays C Rod Barajas. Yankees hitting coach Kevin Long and P Edwar Ramirez were both fined undisclosed amounts for their actions. Barajas was fined $1,000 for "verbal abuse". Slow motion footage of the fight showed Jays utility infielder, John McDonald, inadvertently punching Yankees manager Joe Girardi in the scrum. McDonald and Girardi have discussed the incident and both told reporters today that it never happened. It will be interesting to see if anything bad-blood carries over in tonight's game between the two teams.
