Balsille Modifies Offer, Dana White Responds to Rampage Retirement, Kanye West to WWE?

The NHL and Jim Balsille met with Judge Redfield T. Baum on Wednesday for an emergency hearing. Balsille has offered to keep the Phoenix Coyotes in Arizona for the remainder of the season if he wins the auction for the financially doomed club. His intent is still to move the team to Hamilton at seasons end. This really doesn't change anything for the NHL and Gary Bettman's perspective as they will fight to keep the team in Phoenix permanently. For more information on the case, go to the stories section of the website and read the piece on the on-going saga.

Dana White has responded to Quinton "Rampage" Jackson announcing his retirement late last night. Dana and Rampage haven't been on the same page in the last month. Dana has publicly stated his irritation with fighters who put their career on hold to pursue movie roles. Rampage recently postponed his fight with Rashad Evans because of his role in a up-coming movie. Here are some Dana White quotes from a radio interview on KHTK:
"Rampage is a grown man. He's acting like a baby right now, but he's a grown man. If he wants to be in the movie business, Rampage, good luck to you, man. I hope he makes it big, and I'm not being sarcastic. ... I hope the movie thing works out for him. If that's what he truly wants to do, and that's what he feels and that's what he thinks his career is, I wish him all the luck in the world."
Dana on Jackson's role in the new A-Team movie:
"I got so pissed off," White said. "I'm speaking my mind. He thinks I'm trying to ruin his movie career."
It will be interesting to see how long this retirement lasts. Seeing Rampage in a UFC ring again wouldn't surprise me at all.

According to wrestling insiders at MediaTakeOut.com, Vince McMahon and the WWE has offered Hip Hop goon Kanye West close to $10 million to show up at three events (two televised, one pay-per-view). If Kanye accepts the offer, he will have to do some light wrestling and apparently, he is really considering the offer. It seems as though McMahon wants to take advantage of the hate for Kanye in the general public right now and pin him as the "bad guy". Keep it posted for more developments with regards to this story.
