QUINTON "RAMPAGE" JACKSON: I'M DONE FIGHTING
Former UFC light heavyweight champ, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has announced on his official website that he's "done fighting". He included in his speech that he had somewhat of a rocky relationship with Dana White and the UFC. He mentions on a few occasions where he had miscommunications with the company with regards to fight match-ups and fight dates. He still thanked Dana and the UFC and stated that he wasn't going to go out on a bad note. He thanked the fans and hinted that he may move on to pursue an acting career. It's been obvious lately that the UFC and "Rampage" have been on the outs over his role in the up-coming "A-Team" movie which forced him to postpone his match-up against Rashad Evans. Jackson is only 31-years-old and still in the prime of his career. It would be a shame to see him hang up the boots this early. It is still to be said whether or not Jackson is serious about following through with this retirement. He is a character and this could just be a short-term thing. It will be interesting to see in the next few days what stance Dana White and the UFC take on Jackson's early retirement. Stay tuned for further updates on this story.
