LATE BREAKING NEWS

In a shocking series of events, the Toronto Blue Jays made a move to send a message throughout the organization. Interim team president and CEO, Paul Beeston, announced Saturday morning that GM J.P. Riccardi has been fired by the club. “J.P. has put an incredible amount of effort into improving the team and he has brought along a number of great young players,” Beeston said. “However, I feel that it is time for a change and accordingly we have decided to move on.” Riccardi has been much criticized during his tenure in Toronto and a lot of fans will be happy to see him on his way out. The feeling is that Riccardi has outstayed his tenure and should have been cut a long time ago. This story comes following news yesterday of a clubhouse rift between the players and manager Cito Gaston. It should be a long off-season in Toronto. Stay tuned for the latest.
